The Xiaomi 15 Ultra has been officially confirmed for a February 2025 launch, just as the Xiaomi 14 Ultra was unveiled in February 2024. Xiaomi’s President and General Manager of its Smartphone Division, Lu Weibing, shared details about the upcoming flagship on Weibo.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra February launch confirmed for the global market

According to Weibing, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will make its debut shortly after the Chinese Spring Festival, which begins at the end of January. He confirmed that the smartphone would be available for global sale simultaneously with its launch in China. While he didn’t disclose the exact launch date, his statements hint at the possibility of the 15 Ultra being showcased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, an event scheduled for late February. Unfortunately, he did not reveal anything about the 15 Ultra’s specifications.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra will retain the signature circular camera module seen in its predecessor. A periscope telephoto lens is cleverly integrated into the upper-right corner of the module, accompanied by three additional lenses arranged below. The smartphone will feature a 2K micro-curved display with ultrasonic fingerprint recognition, offering a visually immersive and secure experience.
At its core, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will house the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for seamless performance. The phone is likely to pack a massive 6,000mAh battery and support 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. It is expected to arrive in luxurious finishes, including vegan leather, fibreglass, and ceramic, reflecting Xiaomi’s focus on premium craftsmanship.
A significant highlight of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is its inclusion of satellite communication technology. It will support the TianTong satellite system as standard, with the top-tier variant enabling dual-satellite connectivity through BeiDou communication. Additionally, this will be Xiaomi’s first Ultra-series smartphone to feature eSIM functionality, enhancing its versatility for international users.
